Partnering to Transform Lives
At Potomac River Clinic, our mission to support children with hearing loss is made possible through the generous support of philanthropic foundations. Together, we are breaking barriers, ensuring access to critical services, and creating brighter futures for children and families across our region.
We are deeply grateful to the following foundations for their generous support of our mission:
- The Alexander and Margaret Stewart Trust
- The Green Family Foundation
- The Robert I. Schattner Foundation
Their support has helped us to provide world-class care, reach more families, and deliver programs that improve children's lives.
The Community Outreach Fund
The Community Outreach Fund was created to address disparities in hearing health among children from marginalized and underserved communities in Washington DC. Through the Fund, The River School (River) and Potomac River Clinic (PRC) provide access to a continuum of care, beginning with screening, diagnostic and intervention services and continuing through therapy and rehabilitation. Studies have shown that children from socioeconomically and racially marginalized backgrounds who have hearing loss are at greater risk for delays in all areas of development due to disparities in timely identification, diagnosis and access to early intervention services. Through the Fund, we seek to provide children in DC with equitable access to world-class care at no cost to their families.
