Julia Reid, a dedicated and passionate audiologist, joined our team in 2017. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Studies, along with a Clinical Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Reid brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her clinical externship at the Children’s Cochlear Implant Center at UNC fueled her passion for early intervention and cochlear implants. She actively advocates for comprehensive cochlear implant coverage as an American Cochlear Implant Alliance State Champion and serves on the Committee of Ambassadors for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. With a special interest in cochlear implant programming, expanded indications for cochlear implantation, and hearing aids, she is committed to providing optimal care for patients.  Beyond her professional endeavors, she enjoys exploring Virginia wineries with her husband, daughter, and playful miniature goldendoodle.
