Parent-Infant Program

A free weekly program for infants and their caregivers

The Parent-Infant Program is a free resource for families of deaf and hard of hearing children, ages birth to three years. Parents, along with their infants and toddlers, meet in person* on Wednesdays from 9:00 - 10:00 am each week to learn about issues relating to hearing loss and share experiences with other families in similar situations, while the children engage in fun, language-stimulating activities. We embrace all communication options and strive to discuss topics that interest and support families.

The Parent-Infant Program provides:

  • Family support, networking, and mentoring
  • Activities to stimulate language development
  • Sensory, language, motor and social activities
  • Information on listening technology (cochlear implants, hearing aids, etc.), communication choices and community resources

The program is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team with training in speech-language pathology, early childhood education, audiology and psychology.
