Julia McGuire

Julia McGuire, M.Ed, M.S. CCC-SLP holds a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Haverford College. She began her educational career as a Teach For America Corps Member in the Mississippi Delta, where she received her Master of Education in Elementary Education from Delta State University. She also holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the District of Columbia. With almost 15 years of experience in education, Julia has worked in a variety of schools and settings including language immersion, English language development, early childhood, and elementary. Julia has a particular passion for the connection between literacy and communication and ensuring that children have all the support they need to use their voice within their classroom or learning environment. She is experienced in working with children of all ages in the areas of articulation, language development, bilingual language development, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Julia speaks English and Spanish.
